Our Story

We're Gopika Hareendranath and Mithun Madhusoodanan — husband and wife, and Carnatic musicians who accompany for Bharatanatyam.

We trained for six years at the Kalakshetra Foundation, immersed in a world where music and dance move together. Over those years, we watched dancer after dancer carry themselves with such grace and style — their traditional, cultural ornaments as much a part of the artistry as the music and the movement.

Mithun was the one who fell for it first — choosing a piece for Gopika now and then, just because it reminded him of her. She caught the same eye for it soon after, and choosing jewellery for her became something we did together — a real love for traditional craftsmanship that grew between us, piece by piece.

Vikamore Origins is us finally sharing that taste with you. Every piece here is one we'd pick for Gopika ourselves — rooted in the traditions we grew up performing in, and chosen for the way you want to feel today.

Where we are today

Each piece is one we have picked, held and looked over ourselves. If we wouldn't gift it, we don't sell it.

We are starting with Jadau Kundan, and more will follow.

What comes next

One day we want to offer pieces of our own. For that, we have Padmavathi Sai Sankar — a dancer herself, now in college in North Carolina. She knows how a piece has to sit when the neck it sits on is moving, how jewellery reads from the back of a hall, and the hundred small things a dancer notices that a shopper never has to.

Our own designs are a plan for the future, not something on this site yet. When they do arrive, you will know exactly which ones they are — each will say so clearly on its page. Until then, every piece you see here is chosen by us, not designed by us. We would rather tell you the difference than blur it.

What we care about

We describe what you will actually see. The stones, the colours, the shape and how it sits — in plain words. We don't dress a piece up with claims we haven't checked ourselves.

Fair prices, no fake discounts. No inflated MRP with a permanent 70% off stuck over it. When we run an offer, it is a real saving on our everyday price — and it ends.

We choose what we would wear. Every piece is chosen the way Mithun used to choose them for Gopika: one at a time, because it was right.
